It is with pride and deep gratitude that I reflect on the remarkable progress we have achieved together at the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. Since stepping into the role of Dean, my guiding priorities have been academic excellence, operational modernization, financial stewardship, and above all cultivating a supportive, engaged, and future‑focused community of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners.

Over the past several years, we have strengthened our academic programs through strategic curriculum redesign across all levels (B.S.N., M.S.N.-A.P.R.N., D.N.P., and Ph.D.). These enhancements have reduced time to degree completion while upholding the highest standards of academic rigor and quality. As a result, graduates are better positioned for faster entry into the workforce and greater competitiveness in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

I remain deeply committed to advancing student success. We have increased undergraduate admissions and strengthened student engagement through enhanced alumni outreach and expanded veteran and military‑affiliated student recognition efforts.

Financially and operationally, the College has secured more than $9.4 million in line‑fund grants, strengthened relationships with major health systems such as Baptist Health, HCA Healthcare, Holy Cross Health, Lee Health and Memorial Healthcare System, and received transformational gifts. These partnerships expand opportunities for our students and elevate our reputation within the broader healthcare community.

Our commitment to research has never been stronger. The College has demonstrated substantial growth in scholarly dissemination, with increasing numbers of faculty and students presenting at regional, national, and international conferences each year.

As we look ahead with expansion of strategic partnerships, and enhancements to our academic portfolio I am inspired by what lies before us. The College is not only growing; it is evolving with purpose, creativity, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

Thank you for your continued support, dedication, and belief in the mission of the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. Together, we are shaping the future of nursing and preparing the next generation of leaders who will transform healthcare for decades to come.

With gratitude and pride,
