Andrea received her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and her master’s in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University at their Huizenga School of Business. Andrea knew the challenges she endured during the admission phase of her undergraduate program, as well as adjusting to a new school, new environment and new country. Therefore, when asked to be a peer counselor at the institution she attended during undergrad she quickly accepted with no objections. She saw this position as an opportunity to assist incoming students in a smooth transition to the college/university setting.

It was during this part-time position that she knew she wanted to be in the field of academia. She has been working in an academia setting for the last ten years. Andrea began working at Nova Southeastern University in 2007 in the Dean’s office of the now Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences and transferred to the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing in 2012.
