Dr. Donna Mesler earned her B.S.N., M.S.N., and Ph.D. from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where she also taught for 15 years, prior to moving to Florida. She was certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner there and practiced in a pediatric private practice for many years, where she had hospital privileges and prescriptive practice. Dr. Mesler has also worked in obstetrics and the neonatal intensive care unit.
Dr. Mesler’s area of interest for research is cultural competence in nursing students. She has had several publications in this area. She has taken nursing students for study-abroad, mission trips to the Philippines, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Jamaica. These experiences have been transformational for all involved.
